Annotate Probes and Convert Genes
Annotate Probes and Convert Genes services links Affymetrix
microarray probes to
- Gene Ontology (GO) terms
- IMAGE clone identifiers
- UniGene
- LocusLink
- RefSeq
- SwissProt
- TIGR human gene indices
- TIGR mouse gene indices
External links are also provided to the corresponding
information in external resources such as
- PubMed
- GenBank
- GeneCards
- Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO)
To ensure optimum performance and the most up-to-date
information, an automated process regularly retrieves information
from the genomic data sources to a database local to the GeneCruiser
server and indexes the mappings between the data sources and the
Affymetrix microarray probes.
Find Variations and Variations to Genes
Find Variations and Variations to Genes services
use genomic information from the Ensembl database. Ensembl
automatically annotates and indexes data from several sources such
as Entrez, RefSeq, EMBL, Uniprot/SWISS-PROT, Affymetrix and Gene
Ontology (GO).
Ensembl variation information contains information about
minor genomic variations such as single nucleotide polymorphisms
(SNPs) and multi-base deletions and insertions (IN-DELs). Variations
from dbSNP, Human Genome Variation Database (HGVbase), Affymetrix
SNP microarrays, The SNP Consortium (TSC) and Ensembl are available.
Information about the Ensembl version currently used by
GeneCruiser.
